Longarm quilting and snippets of my life

We’re planning on spending the evening at my parent’s house enjoying a BBQ and possibly swimming, (if it gets warm enough). I wanted to share this delicious recipe for making seasoned pretzels. They’re great to take as a munchy for a BBQ or just to keep and eat. They’re super simple, but need to sit for around 24 hours. So, probably too late for this holiday, but keep it in mind for the future.

You’ll need 2 bags of pretzels, a bottle of Orville Redenbacher popcorn oil, a package of ranch dressing mix, 1 1/2 tsp. of dill weed and 1 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder.  Then put the pretzels into a garbage bag, mix the ingredients and pour it over the pretzels.  Tie the bag, slip a second bag over it so it’s double bagged. Then turn and toss the bag gently. Over the next 24 hours, just mix it up every couple of hours or so. When they’re done, they will be evenly coated with a delicious garlicy-buttery flavor. Be forewarned…they’re addicting. They’re not greasy like you would imagine, and they’re always a hit around here.

Enjoy your holiday weekend.
