Longarm quilting and snippets of my life

Deschutes River We’re home from our week in LaPine. We had a wonderful week, camping along the Deschutes River. It was very relaxing and we did some of the tourist-y things that we usually just pass by. We went in the Lava River Cave Lava River cave That was pretty incredible. We also hiked to this…self expanitory It must have been difficult to come up with that name. The tree was big, for a Ponderosa Pine, and it looked arthritic. big tree We went on several beautiful hikes, and we had a great trail leader trail leader Even the leader gets thirsty millie drinkingWe hiked on top of an Obsidian Flow,  Jim had to carry Millie because the trail was made up of crushed obsidian,(lava glass)hiking on obsidian The American Indians would come here to get their year’s supply of obsidian to make their tools. Kind of like the first Costco. Obsidian flow on top of flow Back at camp, it was wonderful to sit by the river and read and rest hanging out The chipmunks and squirrels were driving Millie crazy chipmunk All good things come to an end, but we have some wonderful memories. waterfall enjoying the beauty ahh

I would like to express my gratitude to those who left comments on my last post. Thank you very much for your kindness. Back to work tomorrow.
