Longarm quilting and snippets of my life

Well, here it is. I used Quilters Dream Wool batting, Rainbows thread on top, So Fine on the back. It was from a class on using value to make movement in your quilt. I’m not sure I succeeded, but I still love the results. Simple but happy. I’ve got the binding attached and ready for hand sewing. Hey Lynn, notice all those Polka Dots???

I think my next quilting project will be the quilt I want to make for my trailer. I purchased a couple of wide “backing” fabrics from Sew Batik and I’m just going to quilt them together using Hobbs Wool batting and it will be a nice easy quilt for our trailer. I’m giving Hobbs Wool a try because Quilters Dream (my preferred wool supplier) is having troubles with their machine that makes King sized wool. I figure since this isn’t an important quilt, it would be a good one for a test. I’ll let you know what I think.

It’s a very cold morning here, 28 degrees. I’m waiting for it to warm up a little bit more, preferably above freezing, so Millie and I can go for a walk. I think I may need to get her some shoes so her little feet don’t freeze!

  1. Yes, I do see those polka dots! I love this quilt! As for Millie’s little shoes, I think that would be a hoot!
