Longarm quilting and snippets of my life

I was just wearing a sweatshirt in the drizzle on the 4th, and today it was 100 degrees. Thank goodness for air conditioning. Somewhere in between would be wonderful. My poor flowers are all wilting, even though I keep them watered. Oh well, only the strong survive.

I finished this customer quilt recently. She wanted light custom because she didn’t really like the quilt very much. Needless to say, she loves it now. (Click on any of the photos to see them larger)

I’m going to be quilting my sister-in-law’s birthday quilt next. It was a guild mystery. I love the pattern,  the colors are her colors, and she’d going to love it. It goes on the machine tomorrow. I may have to make one for myself. Here’s the before shot I don’t want to show too much, just in the off chance that she actually reads my blog.

I added a new color of portraits to my Etsy shop. This is my neice, Katelyn, in her favorite color, aqua. Check out my shop to see the other colors available.

  1. I love the quilt! The way you quilted it is perfect! As for the melting, I think you should come and spend time in my pool.

I really like the new colorway of Katelyn’s portrait, too!

  2. Forgot to say how much I like the mystery quilt, too! I don’t do mystery quilts, because I don’t usually like the end product. This one is very cool, and you know I love those colors!
